Christmas at the Zoo

Owen got a wonderful birthday present this year from his Grandma and Grandpa....a Zoo membership...it was a great gift because it just keeps giving and giving each time we make a trip there. Since his birthday we had enjoyed Zoo Boo in October and then went to Christmas at the Zoo on December 17th. It was wonderful! The grounds were so pretty with Christmas lights, the weather was awesome..only had to wear a sweatshirt in December:), and Owen as always had tons of fun seeing all the animals and the dolphin show! Grandma came along for fun to hang out with her grandson!

Our not so great attempt at a family picture in the dolphin show!

This is the face I got from Owen when I told him to say "cheese"....I think he overdid it on this one:)

Life Group Christmas Party Dec. 13th

This year we decided to plan our Life Group Christmas party in September so we could actually have it in December this year. (last year we planned so late, we had to have it in February so everyone could be there) On December 13th we all gathered for dinner at Bucca Di Beppo and then enjoyed a fun evening of dessert and an ornament exchange at the Webster's. It was so much fun! Enjoy the pictures...just as we did last year we did our best to reinact old time pictures by doing the prom pics on the stairs and the circle picture of heads on the floor.

Visit to Santa's house!

On December 13th, Josh and I took Owen into downtown Noblesville to go to Santa's house. It is a Christmas decorated house they have every year on the square where you can bring kids to for Hot Chocolate and to meet and get pictures with Santa. Owen was so excited to meet Santa and kept asking to go into his house in line. However, when it came to be his turn and the door opened and Santa let out a very loud "Ho, Ho, Ho", Owen wasnt nearly as excited. I ended up carrying him in and holding him with Santa for the photos. But 3 minutes later when it was time for the next childs turn Owen was comfortable with Santa and told him he wanted cookies and toys for Christmas. To this day he talks about Santa's house and how he wants to go there! If only kids understood time?!

Christmas Cookie Party

On December 12th, one of my good friends, Mindy from MOPS who does the adorable cakes, hosted a bunch of kids and mommies for a Christmas cookie decorating party! The party was so fun and Owen enjoyed every minute of decorating, eating icing, eating cookies and taking them home!

Decorating for Christmas

On December 7th, we finally talked Josh into going to pick out our Christmas tree and decorating. We always get a real tree and I love going to pick it out. This year although it was freezing, Owen thought it was fun to pick a tree and then come home and put it up and decorate it. He was completely facinated with the button on the floor that you can step on to turn the tree lights on. It was his job every morning when he got up for the month of December and he was proud of it.

December 1st-26 weeks belly shot

On December 1st, I offficially entered my third trimester of Pregnancy. This picture was taken at 26 weeks...she is growing inside as you can see! But it appears as though she may be smaller than her brother since I am smaller this time around....only 14 more weeks and we will see:) My doctor's appointments have been going great and she has been measuring perfectly. We did have the pleasure of having a 3rd ultrasound at 24 weeks because I was having some pain and they thought it could be kidney stones...praise the Lord it wasn't because I have been there, done that, and don't ever want to do that again! They decided they think she is just sitting on a nerve or is situated inside in an uncomfortable position for me...but it's not to bad so I can't complain! It was however fun to see her again in an ultrasound!

Owen loves the neighbor boys!

We are lucky enough to live next door to an amazing family with a 7 year old boy and a 9 year old boy who attend our church! Owen LOVES hanging out with the boys, talking to them, seeing them...anything he can possibly do with them. Everytime he is with them he is grinning ear to ear and giggling non-stop. Fortunatly, the two boys actually enjoy being with Owen as well and really get a kick out of listening to him talk, playing balls and bubbles with him, and teaching him to play soccer! The family graciously agreed to have Owen come over and play when Josh and I are away every other week leading our church life group. Owen loves his time at there house....they feed him...they bathe him...etc. and he never wants to leave! It is the cutest bond! On November 26th the boys were out of school so they got to come to our house to play and we all ventured to McDonalds. While they were here they completely wore Owen out playing. We all also made Turkey's out of oreo's, gum drops, icicng, and M and M's. It was so much fun for all three of the boys!

Enjoying the new Lucas Oil Stadium from a Suite!

Josh and I were given the opportunity to go to a Colt's game on November 16th and sit in a suite. We had an awesome time and it was so fun to see the new stadium finally...that everyone in town was talking about! The game was awesome and it was a fun date for the two of us! Below are some pictures of the new stadium! Go COLTS!

Trick-or-Treat!!

On Halloween, we went to my sister's neighborhood to trick-or-treat with a lot of friends! Owen dressed up like a lion, but as I said in a previous post he only wanted to be referred to as a Tiger! He thoroughly enjoyed getting a ton of candy and once again did great at keeping his whole costume on. The second picture if of Owen with his friend Caleb...the Giraffe....they are in pre-school together! Owen is already asking when Halloween is again! He LOVED all the decorations people put out and asked until about December to see the pumpkin lights on a neighbors house which unfortunatly had been down since just after Halloween! He will be so excited to see all the decorations come back next October...we even bought some after Halloween this year to put out next year....he will be so happy!

My baby is growing up so fast...HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY OWEN!

I can hardly believe that Owen is TWO! It seems like just yesterday we were in the hospital having him in some ways and in other ways I don't remember what life was like without him! On Saturday, October 25th we celebrated Owen's birthday in a grand way....with about 30 adults and 15 kids under 4 in a sports themed celebration. Owen is very into throwing balls, playing catch, playing basketball, kicking balls, etc. so that was his theme! Owen loved having all of his family and friends here...thanks to all who made it special! Here are several pictures from the party...I just couldn't narrow them down:)

The awesome cakes below and cupcakes were made by my good friend Mindy in MOPS..check her website out next time you need any cakes...cookies...or cupcakes.....she is awesome!
3 of my best friends ventured in from out of town to celebrate my little boys big day! Brooke and Ash are two of my best friends from High School. Brooke and I are both expecting babies in March.....mine is due the 7th and her little boy is due the 23rd.

Owen is 2...Chuck E. Cheese

Owen's big birthday party wasn't until Saturday so on his actual birthday on Friday we went to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate with family! Aunt Susie was in town from Florida so it was a special treat having her here for Owen's big day! Owen wasn't to fond of "Chuckie" (see below) but loved playing the games, riding the rides, and especially the cupcakes!
