On January 28th we got A LOT OF SNOW!!! We got approximatly a foot of snow and Owen was so excited to go outside and play in it. This is the first big accumulation of snow we have had this year so he hadn't gotten to play in it up until this point. He went outside and helped daddy shovel, played with his plastic drump truck (pretending it was a salt truck) and threw snow balls at Josh and I. He had a blast and looked so cute in all his winter gear!

34 Weeks Photo Shoot January 24th
At 34 weeks, my sister came over to take some maternity pictures, family pictures, and finally Owen's 2 year pictures (although he is 27 months). She took some great pictures and as you can see from the photos the belly has gotten bigger in the last 8 weeks (since the last belly shot)!! My sister, has her own children's/maternity/family photography business called His Image...you should look into her services....she is very reasonable:) I highly reccomend her!!!:) She will be doing another photo shoot once our baby girl makes her appearence!!

Another sneak peak at the room...more pictures to come...the lampshade is the same fabric as the bedding so you can get an idea!

Bathtime+Crayons=Great Fun for Owen!!
Owen LOVES taking baths...I think if he had it his way he would take baths 2-3 times daily and stay in for 1-3 hours. Baths are almost like rewards over here...yes,we do bathe our kid however a lot of times before he can take a bath he may have to pick up his toys, or eat his dinner, etc. That is how much he loves playing in the tub! We recently have been giving him bath tub crayons in addition to his multiple other bathtub toys and he loves it! He barely has room to sit...he still has the yellow foam bear that is for infants in his tub and he refers to it as his boat...he likes to sit on it! He is too funny and his imagination is so great! Check out all the artwork on our tub!!!

Twins...Who is Who?
On January 14th Josh was out of town and Matt was on call so my sister Kelly and I had a big sleepover at our house with all 5 kids! We actually managaed to get them all to bed and asleep but were woken up a number of times during the night for different reasons..it was funny and tiring! In the morning I woke up to the sound of Kai in Owen's room on the montior (no Kai didnt sleep in Owen's room, he was sleeping in the pack in play in another room until he climbed out and went in to see Owen). Kai was yelling "Wake up Owen!" It was so funny and cute! Here is a picture of the wanna-be twins before bed! Can you tell who is who??

Nursery Progress-Sneak Peak
The week after Christmas, Josh had 10 days off work so we all got to work on the nursery for our little girl. Prior to getting pregnant this was our guest room so it had blue walls and a queen size bed...sooo obviously a lot had to change! Josh decided to take the challenge of putting up bead board in the little girls room...it turned out awesome!! Our good friend, Rich taught Josh how to bead board and just a few short hours later, he was a pro! Owen also got a lesson as you can see in the pics....I can see a future handyman in him:) My biggest problem was what colors to paint the walls and bead board...pinks are hard people:) So as you can see from my color board in the pictures below I tried out about 6 sample cans of paint before we came to a decision...and fortunatly I LOVED how the color turned out! Later in the week, my dad-the expert painter came over to help Josh and Owen paint the room. Owen has been so excited all week to be in her room....he LOVES tools, paint, etc. so you can imagine this week was a lot of fun for him:) Now I can hardly wait to put everything else together! More pics to come of the finished product:)

Christmas with the McNichols
After all the kids had napped we celebrated Christmas with my family at my parents house. Macy and Makenna were so anxious to open gifts while waiting on Owen, Kai and Avery to wake up. Having 5 kids, ages 5 and under for Christmas is crazy but so fun! My parents got a
small real tree this year and with 5 grandkids....there are so many presents....that the tree looked so funny! I had to include a picture of the site! However, it worked and everyone had a lot of fun taking turns and watching others open gifts. Owen got a dart gun from his cousins and it was a huge hit and still is today. My parents got the older boys (their son-in-laws, Matt and Josh) plans that you shoot off of a plastic gun and they fly in the air and everyone of all ages loved those! I dont have any pictures to share because the Medley's were in charge of videotaping while the Warner's were in charge of picture taking and we neither one hae swapped video or pictures yet...will post later...but here is the cute tree to make you laugh...this picture really doesnt do it justice..on how small it really was:)!

Christmas at Beth's
After we opened our own family gifts and celebrated Christmas we went to Beth's (Josh's moms) to celebrate Christmas with her and Josh's brother, Andy and his wife Jenn and our two cute nieces Lilly and Maddie. We enjoyed a yummy breakfast (I look forward to it every year!) and then let the kids dive into the gifts...and the adults! The enjoyed taking breaks from unwrapping to turn on the Christmas toy that plays music so they could dance! As you can see from the pics Lilly got a new tutu that she just loved!

Christmas Morning at Home
Every Christmas morning since Josh and I have gotten married we celebrate our own family Christmas first thing at our house in the morning. This year was no different except we had a crazy two year old ripping into packages faster than we could keep up. He wanted everything opened and put together right away. Santa got Owen all kinds of fun gifts....his big gift was a drum set that we had assembled in his play room and hidden until we were done unwrapping gifts..he was overwhelmed I think when he saw the presents under the tree on Christmas morning! (the days have passed where they sit under the tree waiting to be opened..thanks to a mischevious toddler!!)

Christmas Eve with Puppy
Every year we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve with Josh's Dad, Mark (referred to as Puppy with the grandkids). We enjoyed an awesome dinner prepared by Mark and the kids had a fun time opening gifts and their stocking this year as always.

You guessed it, Mommy didn't serve up these dessert portions but Puppy did....he is known for his homemade pies and brownies and he wanted to be sure Owen and Lilly got a big taste!

Owen loves his Puppy! He talks about going to his house or having him come over almost daily!
