During the week of September 20th, we vacationed in the Outerbanks of North Carolina with Josh's brother and his wife and their kids, Lilly and Maddie, and Josh's mom. Despite the tropical noreaster that came through creating very dangerous and high seas and major winds and some rain on two of the days we still managed to make the vacation relaxing and enjoyable. We flew kites, watched movies, went to an aquairum, went on dates as couples without kids (thanks to Mimi), and got to again see our good friends Jess and Dave who live nearby in Virginia Beach! It was a fun vacation...next year we are hoping for better weather though:)

On the way home, Owen and I's (Josh drove with his mom with all of our luggage) plane got delayed before we even left the Outerbanks...it was delayed an hour which would mean we would miss our connection but come to find out the second flight was already delayed three hours...I was one stressed out mommy at the thought of being in an airport, just Owen and I and trying to entertain him for three hours. Fortunatly, an amazing empolyee of US Airways re-rerouted us through another airport so we only would have a one hour delay.....what he didnt tell us was....he put us in FIRST CLASS SEATS....not just one first class seat (we were suppose to be sharing a seat since he is under two) but he assigned Owen to a first class seat as well! Boy, did Owen live it up? He sat in his big comfy leather couch and took advantage of every snack he was offered! It made the flight very enjoyable and he did awesome!! What a nice guy that employee was at US Airway...he definatly made this mommy's day!
