Owen is getting SOOOO big!

Owen is so much fun to be around, not that he hasn't always been (well except for when he is awake during the night or screaming) but now he seems to be really turning into a little boy.

He is super smiley and giggles so often. His giggle truly melts my heart, it is by far the best noise along with his heartbeat when he was in my belly.

He is rolling over from tummy to back but only on occassion. He doesnt mind his tummy to much so he will just lay there and kick around but after a while he rolls. He also is sitting up on his own. We still pile pillows behind or sit behind for the occasional fall but he is doing so good.

He is sleeping pretty good at night, we typically are getting a good 9 hour strectch, unfortunatly that begins at 7:30pm and I dont exactly go to bed at 7:30pm but some evening time is nice to oursleves too.

He is finally starting to like eating oatmeal. We have been going at the cereal for almost 5 weeks now and he is just starting to like it. He isint crazy about any of the veggies, but hey I am not eithier. We have decided he is a very dramatic little guy, again just like mommy. He gags on the first bite of every veggie. I know I do to, so thats what makes it even more funny. We are beginning to introduce some of the yummier fruits but so far he isint crazy about that either. Each day we are attempting a sippy cup with water and get a drink or two in the mouth I think, the rest is on the front of his outfit. Today we tried some bannanna puffs for the first time and he did really good with those.

Two of his new favorite things include his jumperoo and his new swing that my dad hung for him on my front porch. I love the swing because it gets us both outside in the beautiful weather and he just smiles or sleeps the whole time he is in it. Two great things:) He also is now able to pick things up on his own. He loves being able to drop his pacifier and pick it back up, unfortunatly he gets it back in his mouth, just not typically the right way. He is just starting to grab things which proved to not be a great thing today when I was holding him and looking the other way when he grabbed my just poured, full to the top of the cup, Coke that was sitting on the table and spilt it all over the floor, him, and I.:)

Finally, Owen and I are really enjoying our stroller strides classes on Monday's. I joined a stroller strides group on the Northside. It is a group of anywhere from 8-15 women and there children in joigging strollers working out with their children in two. I had no idea how difficult the work out would be but it has proven to be quite challenging but I love it. It starts my week out great and Owen really enjoys being ran around, skipped by, and laughing at his mommy run sprints. (Yes he really did laugh at me while running sprints, it was my first class about 4 weeks ago and at this time Owen was still only laughing on very rare occasions, which made it even more funny. The last three minutes of the class she had all the moms line up our strollers in a row and we ran 3 minutes of sprints alongside the row of kids. I looked over and smiled at Owen each time I ran by and the last time, Owen let out an adorable giggle. It was hilarious and a moment I wont forget.

He is SOOO much fun and being a mom proves to be more fun each day. Here are some pics of my little boy growing up..... he is 6.5 months in these pics but he will actually be 7 months tomorrow.
